Overview:
Blake Miller has been an impact player on the offensive line since joining the Clemson Tigers in 2022. His 2023 campaign saw him be as consistent as any tackle in football and flash as both a run and pass blocker. Miller will now look to improve in 2024 and continue his high level of play on-route to the NFL Draft.
Miller's 2023 saw him total 539 pass blocking snaps with only 2 sacks given up. That was an improvement over an impressive freshman campaign that saw him play 535 pass blocking snaps with 3 sacks given up in 2022. Â
Miller is a blue-chip prospect that will wow the judges as the season unfolds.Â
Strengths:Â
Ideal size for the right tackle spot.Â
Shows above average play strength, routinely stonewalling bull rushes.
Shows the IQ to identify assignments and execute combo blocks.Â
Quick, light shuffle to mirror quicker pass rushers, rarely loses the edge.Â
Hand placement and technique beyond his years.
Highly disciplined player. Â
Most durable tackle in the draft class.
Weaknesses:Â
Struggles to displace defenders in the run game.
Needs to improve footwork when carrying defenders up field.
Feet seem to get heavy when trying to mirror defenders going laterally.Â
Needs to improve his lower body strength to anchor at the next level.
