Strengths:
Freakish athlete with impressive speed and acceleration for the linebacker position.
Elite run defender with sideline-to-sideline range allowing him to make plays all over the field.
Pass coverage abilities that carry over from his days as a safety; can line up over the slot or cover tight ends man to man with relative ease.
Highly versatile as a defender; can line up as an edge rusher, safety, or traditional off-ball linebacker allowing for multiple matchup options.
Natural feel for the game and instincts to read and react to plays and get to the ball quickly.
Weaknesses:
Can stand to gain more weight to take on blockers more easily.
Very raw at the linebacker position and is still learning the fundamentals of the position despite gifted abilities.
Still plays like a tweener who doesn’t fit as a backend safety or mike linebacker in traditional sets; could be relegated to sub-packages.
Needs to improve tackling ability as he displays inconsistent technique and loads up for big hits.
Zone coverage feel is a work in progress when tasked with carrying routes vertically without compromising leverage.
